Judy Vann Gallenstien

April 25, 1937-October 1, 2014

GALLENSTEIN, Judy passed away October 1, 2014. Beloved mother of Rhonda Bene and Renee Tissot. Loving grandmother of four and great grandmother of one and one on the way. Caring sister of Connie Birkley, Ina Hood, Tom Vann and Jim Vann. Judy was a kind and generous woman who spent most of her life putting others before herself. She helped those who she did not know in times of need, and showed her family through love and compassion that they were her pride and joy. She was selfless and strong and gained great satisfaction knowing that she put a smile on the face other others. A Memorial service will occur 1PM Monday October 6th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Judy's name to St. Thomas Episcopal Church or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

This past year in 2014 we lost a second cousin of whom I grew very fond of because she was like a mother to me.  When I was about three years old, I remember visiting her everyday I could.  She lived in the vicinity of our trailer park in Milford, Ohio.  If you were around in 1954, you would see a little girl dressing quickly and running out the door to a steep hill that had a path leading to Judy's trailor.  When I got there, she would give me something to drink and I would then help her with her housework.  Many times she would take me to Milford shopping and maybe she would buy me something for helping her.  I would also babysit her oldest child Greg.

This is all remaining past relatives.  There are statistics that say the most people die in the winter month especially in January.  My direct line will be in Blue and Indirect line in green.
